Sleepless in Academia – Dialogue Sessions for New Parents at Utrecht University

Are you working as academic staff at Utrecht University? Are you a first-time parent with a child under the age of 4? Would you like to connect with colleagues who are also discovering parenthood and trying to balance work and family life? Then, we invite you to join our upcoming dialogue sessions!

As part of the Sleepless in Academia project, we are organizing dialogue sessions for new parents to share their experiences and reflections on what it is like to combine an academic career with starting a family. Moreover, with these sessions, we hope to provide an opportunity to voice your ideas to improve Utrecht University’s inclusive family-friendly policies.

We will have one group open for all parents, which will meet from 11:00 to 12:30 on Monday the 30th of May. The other group will be specifically for international parents and will meet from 11:00 to 12:30 on Monday the 23rd of May and Monday the 6th of June.

The sessions will be held in English, confidential and hosted by the professional moderators of the social initiative Parenting across Borders.
