T@UU council

The T@UU council functions as the face of T@UU, both towards teachers and for the benefit of them. It unravels what is going on among teachers, including critical voices, and draws attention to it, both solicited and unsolicited. Together with project leaders within T@UU, the T@UU council makes sure the community is thriving and sharing relevant knowledge. At the moment, the T@UU council consists of the following five teachers:

Sanne Frequin: Ik zou graag een slag willen maken in de koppeling van onderzoek en onderwijs, omdat ik denk dat daarvoor zowel studenten als voor docenten grote winst te behalen valt. Tevens wil ik nadenken over manieren om de T@UU beter onder de aandacht te brengen van docenten en nadrukkelijker te presenteren als een klankbord voor en door docenten. Als laatste vind ik het belangrijk dat verhalen zoals #koesterdedocent worden opgehaald en gedeeld omdat deze direct impact hebben op ons werk en op de kwaliteit van ons onderwijs. Het is mooi als wij vanuit de community problemen als deze verder kunnen aankaarten, zowel binnen als buiten de universiteit. s.frequin@uu.nl.

Bruce Mutsvairo: Ik ben echt vereerd om deel uit te maken van de T@UU-raad. Ik kijk ernaar uit om te luisteren, leren en leiden. Ik luister graag naar eventuele zorgen van collega’s en studenten. Ik zal leren van anderen hoe we het beste kunnen omgaan met de uitdagingen waarmee we worden geconfronteerd. Ook neem ik graag samen met andere T@UU-raadsleden leiderschap wanneer actie nodig is. b.mutsvairo@uu.nl.

Adrien Melquiond: I would be very happy to represent the T@UU, both within and outside Utrecht University. To be an information contact for lecturers, bridging the different faculties, the partners who provide support for educational innovation, the directors of education and the funding committees. In these challenging times of distance education, I would like among the T@UU council to support digital innovations that can contribute to scalable and sustainable education, with a strong emphasis on teaching methods that can maintain the cohesion of the (virtual) class. a.s.j.melquiond@uu.nl.

Marij Swinkels: In de T@UU-raad zou ik me willen hardmaken voor drie onderwerpen die me na aan het hart liggen in de ontwikkeling van universitair onderwijs:  1. Erkenning en waardering voor docenten  2. Diversiteit en inclusiviteit binnen het universitair onderwijs  3. Ruimte voor gemeenschapsvorming en persoonlijke ontwikkeling in universitair onderwijs. e.m.swinkels@uu.nl.

Lorena De Vita: I aim to contribute to T@UU in three main ways. First, by giving a voice to a variety of colleagues – including, though not exclusively, newly arrived international colleagues, who form a core component of the teaching community at Utrecht University. Second, by taking an active role in sharing ideas about current and future ways of teaching, at Utrecht University and beyond. And third, by fostering dialogue – also on critical issues – at all levels, from the classroom up to the board. l.devita@uu.nl.
