Course on Teaching in Higher Education (BKO/UTQ)

This autumn a new edition of the English version of the course Teaching in Higher Education (THE) will start. This THE course is suitable for lecturers/university teachers who would like to enrich and improve their teaching practice. The course focuses on the teaching role of academics in higher education with respect to the diverse ways in which students learn.
THE uses a wide range of teaching methods, such as plenary sessions, self-study, peer visits, and collegial intervision. The course provides a practical and theoretical foundation for learning and teaching and emphasizes on the link between conceptual frameworks and your professional practice. In this way you will be able to develop a reflective and self-critical approach towards learning, teaching and assessment activities.

THE is particularly useful for those working on a BKO/UTQ portfolio (although it does not automatically lead to the qualification).
